Summary of Position

The Senior FinOps Officer will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, with a focus on transaction reconciliations, approval of manual entries, and resolution of outstanding items. The role includes supporting junior staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reconciliations, supporting customer care with transaction-related queries, and preparing key reports.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparation of daily reconciliations of cards transactions

• Oversight and review of bank and other reconciliations performed by junior team members

• Oversight and review of accounting entries prepared by junior team members

• Daily review of transaction reports and investigation of unreconciled transactions

• Support the Customer Care team with feedback on any client queries in relation to cards and other client transactions

• Responsible for SWIFT MT n99 message replies

• Responsible for drafting of Standard Operating Procedures for operational processes

• Assisting in any other ad-hoc reporting as it may be required

Experience and Education Requirements

• Educational background in a related field such as Banking or Finance will be considered an asset

• Minimum 1 year experience in Operations in financial services industry

• Qualification in Accountancy

• Knowledge of card reconciliations, SEPA and SWIFT

Skill Requirements

• Positive can-do attitude and attention to detail

• Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members
