Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven leader to establish our Moneybase Business Sales team. This role will lead our corporate sales strategy from end to end and focus on acquiring and growing corporate clients across a range of services offered by Moneybase Business including global payments, card issuing, treasury management, investments, and foreign exchange.

You will be responsible for building, leading, and scaling a high-performing sales team, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across key markets across the EU, with Malta and Italy being the key markets initially and expanding across the EU over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help to define and execute the corporate sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives

  • Establish a highly organized sales team in Malta targeting local SMEs

  • Build, mentor, and scale a existing B2B sales team whilst fostering a culture of accountability and achievement

  • Establish clear KPIs, sales processes, and performance metrics

  • Identify and target new revenue opportunities across payments, cards, FX, and treasury products

  • Collaborate with product teams to align offerings with market needs and provide feedback on product development

  • Collaborate with marketing teams on marketing initiatives, events and ensuring our web presence is second to none,

  • Ensure strong onboarding and customer experience in collaboration with internal teams

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor positioning to identify and act on new opportunities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key corporate clients and stakeholders

  • Own revenue targets, forecasting, and pipeline management from lead generation to deal closure as well as overall profitability metrics

  • Report on sales performance on a monthly basis and work closely with the CCO to shape strategy & priorities

Job requirements

  • 5-8+ years in B2B sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Proven experience in managing corporate client relationships

  • Track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets

  • Strong knowledge in CRM systems and other sales tools

  • Strong knowledge in fintech, banking or financial services

Corporate banking and payments

Foreign exchange (FX) products

Accounting integrations (e.g. Xero ecosystem)

  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities

  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability

  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

  • Data-driven approach to sales and performance management
